Determine if you have a disk problem

If your computer is not booting up slowly, or frequently performs a disk check on start up, this can be an indication of an error on the disk.

If your computer eventually starts and you can access file explorer, navigate to the C drive root folder and look for folders “Found....”.  If there is a found folder or multiple found folders this potentially indicates a problem.  At this point you should consider backing up your files, if you don't already have an up to date backup.  You may be at risk of disk failure, and losing data.

Run a disk check from file explorer.  Right click on C drive and select properties.
